Derek got started in the flooring business in 2003. He started with hardwood installations and refinishing. Derek also gained experience in customer satisfaction shortly after starting in the business as he was tasked with measurements and work orders that really gave him the experience on how to handle different situations and personalities. Derek ran multiple installation crews in his 12 years of installing slash refinishing. He became part of Allied Carpet shop in July of 2015. Derek began in the warehouse where he prepped carpet for the following day of installs. He became warehouse manager in 2016 and is still in the same position today. Derek has a wife and 2 kids that keep him busy outside of work. Derek is looking forward to seeing what comes next in the future of the flooring business.
